#353 of 366 BPC: Health is wealth

Thank you to Mommy Rcel for yesterday’s entries. I do appreciate for linking your entry. I am inviting everybody to please do not be shy to share your beautiful pictures with me. I know they are just hiding in your computer, right?

Today is my 18th day of hosting the blog photo challenge. I still cannot believe that my wife is almost done sharing our pictures with you all.

PhotobucketI will feature medicines in today’s blog photo challenge. I have been sick for two days now. I have the sore throat and really bad cough. My little girl was sick and I caught her virus. Now I am sick too. My wife said I am such a big baby when I am sick. Yes! I am it is because I cannot tolerate any pain. I am always on the go. I know that my wife keeps on reminding me that health is wealth, that I have to take care of myself. She said that I have to reduce working overtime. I guess I am a hard-headed husband. Now I am suffering the consequences. I hope that this cough and sore throat is gone soon. I hope that these medicines will help me feel better.

Is your husband been sick lately? How do you take care of him? Can you please share some tips on how not to get sick especially this time of the year?

sorry to hear that you’re sick. I guess it’s pretty common this time of the year because my husband have been sick for couple of days too and same meds he’s been taking. Get well.

Winter season always brings colds and flu to many of us! My family Momi Jess is not dependent on over-the-counter medicines. They do nothing to the colds or flu, they’re just letting a person spend and spend because you keep buying but you can never feel any better with it. At least, that’s how I see it based on my experience. That Vicks Nyquil thing gave my husband a funny experience. One day, he stopped by at Walgreens to buy one and brought it to his office because wanted to take some for his sore throat. He didn’t inform me about it. So took he did when he arrived in his office. He then said that a few minutes later after taking it, he felt dizzy, so sleepy. The bad thing was, he has a class in 25 minutes or so. He find a way to fight the sleepiness by going to the restroom and washed his face with really cold water. He was so funny! He then realized that the reason why he got dizzy was the alcohol content in the Nyquil. Since then, he won’t take such med ever again.

Our health tip to fight and avoid flu and colds momi Jess is grapefruits every day. As in hadlok jud ang colds sa grapefruits! 🙂
